Your feet are precious. They carry you many a mile and help you to maintain your posture. Getting dry feet and heels are nobody’s ideal of beauty. We will refresh some of the handy and at home remedies for soft feet that can help you feel more comfortable, walking around in your favourite sandals or flip-flops. Give your feet the attention they really deserve by pampering them; because they reflect your health and personality.
Some handy and at home remedies are on your way:
1 ‘Remove old nail paint’
Before starting natural and easy process to make your feet softer at home, it is required for you to remove old nail paint first. Removing old nail paint gives better and clear visibility of cuticles. Use gentle nail polish remover. Dip your cotton ball/pad into the remover and hold on to each nail for a few seconds before swiping.
Take low height tub; add one cup vinegar, 1 cup mouth freshener and 1.5 cups of warm water and soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. This helps to soften the skin and make it easy to scrub off the dead skin cells on your feet.
If you have dry heals / dead skin; scrub off the dead skin cells on your heals using a pumice stone and rest feet area with walnut face scrub. This way the scrubbing process is complete with a balanced approach between the heals and feet that too with no rashes.
Wash your feet in cold water, adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This will help to bring shine and prevent wrinkles on feet. Pat dry your feet with clean and soft towel.
5. ‘Cut your nails even’
Once you have soaked your feet properly, your nail tends to soften and becomes easy to cut or shape them. It also helps get rid of cuticle pain or nail chip.
Take half cup Gram Flour (Besan), 1 spoon of Earth’s Fuller (Multani Mitti), 1 spoon lemon juice, 2 spoon honey and an half tea spoon of Turmeric Powder (Haldi). Mix all ingredients into a thick paste which is easy to apply. Mask the paste on the feet. Keep it for 20 minutes until dry.
Once dry, wash your feet in cold water. Pat dry your feet with soft and clean towel.

You can massage your feet as long you want; a good foot massage is very relaxing and it induces sleep. For best results, apply baby diaper rash cream on your feet. Its high moisture content prevents foot sweat and odour. Massage it well on the feet with diaper rash cream.
9. ‘Pair of socks to the rescue’
Let your feet breathe after pampering the best possible way. Put on a fresh pair of socks to save them from the dirt. It will help in moisten your feet properly.
10. ‘Happy Feet’
Soft & clean feet with new nail paint makes you feel great. You may choose to wear bright colours or shades of dark nail polish. They will look fabulous anyways. However, do make sure, you put nail paint the next day, after washing them and pat drying. Start with applying base coat to protect the nail. It prevents discolouration and ensuring that the first coat of colour will go on nice and evenly. Apply second base once dry, then you may apply third coat if required.
